Dancing in the Park

December 23, 2011

Residents of Hà Nội want to dance at the park, but it is becoming a problem due to public spaces becoming more and more sparse. Land is being privatized as developers want to use the declining public space to create commercial centers.

With fewer and fewer parks, where will Hanoians go to dance and participate in other physical activities? The following short documentary called Dancing in the Park chronicles the public’s fight to prevent parks from becoming extinct in Hà Nội.

Perhaps the occupy movement should make a cameo appearance at a Vietnamese park near you–that’s if you live in Việt Nam, of course.
